US Senior Mortgage Underwriter

*Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mortgage Underwriter/Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our Mortgage company and Loan Officers in processing pre-approvals efficiently and accurately, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Loan Officers in gathering and organizing documentation required for loan applications.

Review loan files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, and other parties to clarify documentation and answer questions.

Analyze financial information, credit reports, and employment history to evaluate borrower eligibility.

Prepare and submit loan files for underwriting, tracking progress and following up as necessary.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.

Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings and managing client communications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.

Previous experience in US mortgage underwriting, income calculations for all varies FHA/Conventional agency products.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft office products and mortgage processing software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of loan products, underwriting guidelines, and relevant regulations.
