About this position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Federal Proposal Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Business Development Specialist and Capture Manager in developing winning proposals. This role involves managing the proposal development process, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements, and delivering high-quality proposals that effectively communicate our solutions and capabilities.
Salary Range: Commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.
Mid-Level (3-5 years of experience): $85,000 - $105,000 per year
Senior-Level (6-10 years of experience): $105,000 - $130,000 per year
Executive-Level (10+ years of experience): $130,000 - $150,000+ per year
On a day-to-day basis you will:
Manage the end-to-end proposal development process, from initial planning to final submission.
Collaborate with the Business Development Specialist and Capture Manager to develop proposal strategies and win themes.
Analyze solicitation requirements and ensure compliance with all instructions and evaluation criteria.
Coordinate and lead proposal kickoff meetings, status updates, and review sessions.
Develop and maintain proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices.
Write, edit, and review proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.
Work with subject matter experts to gather and incorporate technical and management information into proposals.
Ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet all requirements.
Maintain proposal templates, tools, and best practices to streamline the proposal development process.
Required Education/Qualifications:
Clearable and must live in CONUS
Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal proposal management, preferably within the government contracting sector.
Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations.
Proven track record of managing and winning large-scale proposals.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Proficiency in using proposal management tools and software.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
