Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Cost & Inventory Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Garden Grove, California. This role involves developing cost accounting practices and implementing efficient systems to enhance operational performance within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in standard costing, inventory management, and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement cost accounting best practices to streamline financial operations.
• Document and refine processes to ensure compliance and improve efficiency.
• Establish and maintain standard cost accounting methods for accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize manufacturing cost accounting procedures.
• Analyze and manage bills of materials (BOM) to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve inventory management systems.
• Utilize NetSuite or similar platforms to enhance cost accounting functionalities.
• Monitor and report on cost variances, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure alignment of cost accounting practices with overall business objectives.
• Support cross-functional teams in achieving financial and operational goals.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost accounting, including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Expertise in standard cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency in handling bills of materials (BOM) and cost analysis.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to document processes and implement best practices effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
• Proven track record of improving cost accounting procedures in manufacturing environments.
