Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Clerk to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Bloomington, Indiana. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the supply chain by ensuring that inventory is well-organized, accurately tracked, and readily available for nursing units. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a healthcare environment.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm
Duration: 3-month contract covering for a medical leave *always a potential to be extended or convert to perm.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and store supplies efficiently to ensure easy accessibility for nursing units.
• Monitor inventory levels regularly and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplies to ensure proper tracking.
• Perform clerical duties related to inventory management, including data entry and filing.
• Inspect incoming supplies for accuracy and quality before adding them to inventory.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments to address supply needs promptly.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations in managing inventory.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assist with the organization and labeling of assets to streamline inventory processes• Experience performing clerical tasks in a setting that requires attention to detail.
• Proficiency in managing and ordering office or supply inventory.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or software is a plus.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with various departments.
• Ability to lift and move supplies as needed.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or similar environment is preferred.
