Position Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in managing the company’s corporate accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the month-end close process. This hands-on position is ideal for someone with at least 2+ years of corporate accounting experience who is looking to deepen their knowledge and grow within a stable, forward-thinking organization.

Manage and prepare accruals as part of the month, quarter and year-end close processes.

Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial accounts.

Assist with the preparation of financial statements by applying standardized corporate accounting practices.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Contribute to accounting operations, including journal entries, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.

Monitor and enforce adherence to GAAP, SOX and internal reporting standards.

Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data reporting.

Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in corporate accounting or public/private blend.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of accrual-based accounting is essential.
