Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and proficiency in Excel. Candidates with experience in property management or real estate are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review lease agreements and other related contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage daily receipt postings and maintain detailed accounting records.
• Generate and issue account billings while assisting with accounts payable processes.
• Support lease administration tasks, including tracking and reporting on contract details.
• Perform regular audits to ensure financial data accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline workflows and maintain efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to address administrative duties and accounting-related inquiries.
• Apply advanced Excel formulas to analyze and organize financial data.
• Assist in maintaining property management accounting records.
• Provide support for real estate property management operations as needed.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
• Familiarity with property management or real estate accounting practices.
• Experience using accounting software systems, such as AppFolio, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to manage billing functions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment.
