Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Gavia Technical support

Support customer training both on site and at customer locations

Responsible for final production factory acceptance testing, bench and in-water tests.

Provide support on the operation of the internal product fleet

Perform the necessary field service support

Responsible, as part of team, for front line customer service and support. Includes support of 24 hr call-in hotline for product users.

Support the sales organization in the areas of customer demonstrations, training, trade shows, workshops and customer feedback.

Support the depot service department as needed.

In house repairs

Support the quality department with investigations and documentation of quality issues

Support PLM and engineering teams in production and of engineering specials.

Support the creation of internal and external documentation such as, manuals, procedures and record keeping.

Valid driver s license.

Education and Experience:

BS in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or Oceanography, or similar.

1-3 years' experience with demonstrated ability to diagnose, mechanical, electrical and software issues and provide solutions to these complex systems.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to learn and understand complex technical requirements, understand and write technical documents.

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office products is essential: excel, word and power point

Must be able to travel up to of 25% of the time, international and domestic.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

In-water Operations

Oceanography or Robotics

Linux and DOS Skills

Technical sales and customer service

Seagoing experience on small and large vessels, preferred

Small boat operation

Ability to obtain Security Clearance,

Training Surveillance Maritime, BOSIET

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Training Requirements:

Sea Survival certification and other Marine certifications as required

Internal training as required:

Hoist and lift

ESD

Small boat operations

IFS Overview

HSE/Quality Overview

Hazardous Communication

Personal Protective Equipment:

In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies, such as:

The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility

Safety shoes as required per TMS policy

Personal floatation as required.

Physical demands:

Occasional lifting up to 25kg. To include, laptop computer or inventory parts

Manipulations of the products as required for operational tasks.

Work Environment:

Participating in offshore operations activities include small to large ships and including trips to sea

Occasional work in manufacturing and engineering areas

This position requires periods of working behind a desk, performing tasks on computer

Frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions when performing operations.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
