We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing ergonomics, workflows and work instructions to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality across the organization. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.
Schedule:
Shift Schedule: 3-Shift Rotation
Shift 1: Day Shift (8 hours)
Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Shift 2: Evening Shift (8 hours)
Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Shift 3: Night Shift (8 hours)
Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Pay Range: DOE
Essential Duties
Measure and analyze existing manufacturing workflows, dependencies, bottlenecks, ergonomics, routings and work instructions to identify areas for improvement.
Communicating closely with manufacturing team leads, supervisors, managers, investigate improvement strategies to optimize manufacturing workflows, dependencies, bottlenecks, ergonomics, routings and work instructions, reduce manufacturing costs, and enhance overall performance. Propose these strategies to manufacturing director, plant manager quality and finance teams for review and approval.
Upon approval, implement these strategies in work instructions, ERP Routings and BOMs, and coordinate rollout with the teams.
Participate in change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new processes or technologies.
Be a key contributor to manufacturing continuous improvement feedback loop with contribution to Failure Mode & Effects Analysis: work closely with manufacturing team members, department heads and the Quality team to measure success, identify new risks and areas of further improvement, propose mitigations.
Ensure that all processes are evaluated and optimized to comply with industry regulations, company policies, and standards.
Identify, and document risks associated with process changes, propose mitigations, communicate with stakeholders to ensure mitigation success.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and process mapping
Tools: must have very strong MS Excel analytics, familiarity with ERP systems.
Some knowledge of NetSuite ERP manufacturing module, RF-Smart WMS, SQL, MS PowerBI a plus.
Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
