Senior Financial Analyst, Stores Finance

The Sr Financial Analyst (SFA) -- Stores Finance is the primary liaison between Store Design & Construction (SD&C) and Real Estate regarding budgeting and forecasting project spend for new store buildouts and remodels of existing stores. The SFA is responsible for partnering with SD&C and Sourcing to accurately maintain visibility to project costs through cost models, analysis, and reporting. This role is integral to our Real Estate and Design departments, providing valuable insights and analyses to drive efficiency and cost savings. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical thinking capabilities and be able to multitask, prioritize, meet set deadlines, and proactively provide solutions in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Establish strong relationships with cross-functional partners in SD&C, Real Estate, Sourcing, Store Finance and Store Operations

Prepare cost budgets for proposed new stores and renovation projects.

Develop and maintain complex cost models.

Prepare monthly forecasts, including variance analysis against budgets and prior forecasts.

Coordinate with our Sourcing partners to review purchase orders.

Prepare expense forecasts related to real estate project activity.

Draft materials requiring leadership approval for store capital project spending using input from cross functional partners.

Recommend and implement process improvements.

Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses.

Four to five years of related financial analysis or accounting experience

Must be a problem solver and be able to function in a high volume, agile environment that serves many high-profile internal partners.

Mine for areas of opportunity to streamline processes to enable continued productivity increases.

Manage multiple work streams concurrently while effectively prioritizing them.

Comfortably present business results, analysis and recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leaders.

Ability to build strong partnerships with cross functional teams.

Proven ability to think analytically and creatively while maintaining financial controls.

Ability to communicate in an effective and concise manner with leaders to influence business decisions through fact-based analyses.

Excellent oral and written presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple, competing priorities.

Highly motivated and demonstrates independent initiative in performance against objectives.

Exhibits leadership proficiencies and professional maturity in dealing with peers, partners, and senior leaders.

Ability to distill, articulate and model complex business questions/matters.

Conducts all work in a confidential, ethical, and professional manner.

Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Advanced PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Proficiency in SAP preferred and ability to learn and use new systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
