A Tier 1 automotive supplier that supports North American customers in the automotive industry and company plants in Michigan and Mexico. Job Title: Machine Operator Starting Rate: $17-$17.85 (Depends on Shift) Schedules: 5-7 days / week1st - Monday to Friday 7AM to 3:30PM 2nd - Monday to Friday 3:30PM to 12AM Job Duties:

Assembling sliding door track, hinges, tie down cleats & suspension links

Operating presses

Quality inspection

Essential Job Functions Must have GED/HS Diploma. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of basic math is required. Must have mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Must be able to read and write. It is necessary to use measuring instruments to perform quality procedures. In some situations, the operator has to be able to use micrometers, calipers and dial indicators. Must be able to follow verbal instructions accurately. Physical: Required activities involve standing or sitting for long hours. Must be able to withstand stress of repetitive motion activity for reasonable lengths of time. Good vision, hearing, and the ability to walk, squat, and bend over are necessary. May have to exercise lifting capability up to 30 lbs on a regular basis. Mental: Must have willingness to discover potential problems before they cause the production of defective materials. Problem solving ability is a plus. Ability to work cooperatively with a team orientation is most helpful.
