Description:

Machinists at SDC are detail-oriented individuals primarily responsible for manufacturing custom parts according to engineering specifications by operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines.

What You'll Do:

Set-up and operate manual Knee Mills, Lathes, and Grinders.

Manufacture custom parts to detailed engineering prints and 3D models.

Maintains a safe and clean workspace.

Works overtime, as needed.

Other duties, as assigned. Requirements:

What We're Looking For:

5+ years' experience as a machinist.

Experience with machining for low volume manufacturing.

Knowledge of methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the machinist trade.

Knowledge of the machining qualities, properties and uses of carbon steel, tool steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and plastics.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.

Ability to participate and coordinate with a project team.

Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Ability to operate lift trucks and overhead cranes.

Some experience with Haas Automation equipment a plus.
