Application Support Lead – National Accounts

What this is:

The Application Support Lead works in collaboration with the Application Engineer in meeting National Account customer needs with an electrical distribution solution to be provided by either Eaton or ABB (formerly GE). They will ensure milestones provided by the account / project team are completed on time with stock and non-stock material. The lead will serve as the first point of escalation by the Application Support Coordinators. Communication and planning are critical elements to meet day-to-day objectives.

What you will be doing as a key player on our dynamic team:

Works with Account Managers and project team members to understand project timeline, objectives, forecast, specifications, and project documentation to meet customer’s expectations.

Guides Application Support Coordinators through day-to-day project tasks, escalating performance challenges to Manager.

Completes electrical distribution take offs with high attention to detail, under guidance of the Application Engineer, building the bill of material and ordering in internal and external systems.

Partners with Application Engineer to build skills in one-line layouts and application of equipment, wiring diagrams and schematic development, component selection, and verification of applicable codes and standards.

Provides technical support to resolve basic internal and external queries, under the guidance of Application Engineer.

Advise on stocking need and inventory levels to support National Account customers, under guidance of Application Engineer.

Overseas and completes order entry and management of electrical distribution orders across National Accounts.

Provides accurate, updated data regarding material timeline in relevant technologies and other communication channels.

Overseas post order issues, coaching and delivering effective communication internally and externally throughout the cycle.

Ensures accurate and thorough documentation in systems including purchase order attachments.

Trains team members on effective navigation of systems, order entry, and continuous improvement.

Partners with manufacturers, Sales Executives, and Application Engineer to optimize material pricing and gross margin.

Meets set timelines for quote compilation, delivery, submittals, and proposals, under the direction of the Application Engineer, engaging Sales Executives, and Account Managers as needed.

Interfaces with multiple client-specific web portals to access data, drawings, and provide responses as needed.

Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Maintains ethical, cooperative customer relationships consistent with company image, mission, vision, and values.

Education:

High School Diploma (Minimum with Experience)

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar preferred) or associate’s degree in engineering. (Preferred)

Experience:

Experience working in a team environment on multi-faceted projects.

2+ years of electrical distribution solution planning experience.

Experience in distribution.

Experience working with Fortune 100 companies.

Epicor Solar Eclipse experience.

BidMan (Eaton) and Empower (ABB) experience.

Advanced Excel and / or Smart Sheet experience (filters, functions, and pivot tables).
