Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manual and CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both manual and CNC machines to fabricate precision components according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and experience with machining tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (lathe, mill, etc.) and manual machines to produce precision parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machining operations.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
Adjust machine settings and tool paths to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment.
Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve processes and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must have a minimum of 3-4 years proven experience as a Manual and/or CNC Machinist.
Proficiency in operating CNC machines and manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of G-code programming and CNC software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.) is a plus.
Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control practices.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification or associate degree in machining/manufacturing preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs.
Prolonged standing, bending, and working with heavy machinery.
Exposure to shop environment, including noise and metalworking fluids.
