The East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) is looking for a qualified and customer-focused IT Help Desk Analyst to join our team!
In this role, you'll provide essential technical support to multiple locations across ETCOG, Workforce Solutions East Texas (WSET), and Regional Technology Solutions (RTS) customers.
You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain and deploy computer systems, assist with phone systems, and provide ongoing support for a variety of workforce and public service programs.
Beyond troubleshooting, you'll contribute to a smarter IT by recommending system enhancements, developing scripts to automate workflows, and ensuring users have the right access at the right time.
Your work will also support GIS and data presentation projects, adding a layer of innovation to your day-to-day.

Education and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Technology preferred.
Minimum of 1 year progressive IT experience; minimum 1 year experience with one or more of the following certifications: A+, Server+, Security+, Network+, ITIL 4 and/or Microsoft Certified Professional; experience working with governmental or non-profit organization in a multi-office environment preferred; experience providing IT Help Desk service to an external customer a plus; equivalent combinations of work experience and education will be considered.
East Texas Council of Governments is a voluntary association of counties, cities, school districts and special districts within the fourteen-county East Texas region.
We assist local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit and coordinating for sound regional development.
Either directly, or through our contractors, ETCOG provides programs and services for East Texas seniors, employers and job seekers.
We also build the 9-1-1 emergency call delivery system, provide peace officer training and homeland security planning services; and deliver rural transportation services, business finance programs, grant writing services and environmental grant funding for the region.
