Wieland is hiring a Casting Operator. The Casting Operator will operate the furnace to melt and refine metal to produce copper ingots.

Starting Pay: 25.00

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour Shifts 2 Weekends off per month & 8 Days off after 4 rotations!

Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Casting Operator Responsibilities:

Replenish casting consumables and raw materials and notify of low stock.

Direct foundry technicians during the shift to assist in the casting operation.

Prep pour spout

Monitor furnace operation

Set-up caster

Cast heat and shutdown

Respond to emergencies and make decisions quickly and efficiently. Time is of the essence in casting.

Effectively and immediately communicate problems, safety issues, and quality deficiencies.

Completes scheduled checks for spotting any malfunctions and unsafe conditions and reports and corrects them.

Must keep the work area clean, follow all safety guidelines and PPE regulations, and perform basic machine maintenance.

All other duties assigned during shifts.

Casting Operator Qualifications:

3 + years of manufacturing experience

3 + years of forklift experience

1 + years of heavy equipment operation

Ability to work from verbal instructions

Good hand-eye coordination

Good technical aptitude

Computer literate

Ability to work rotating shifts

High School Diploma

Positive Attitude

Excellent attendance
