Description
We're seeking candidates who have previously supported or worked within Engineering. Qualified candidates must be able to read part prints, come from manufacturing, managed a large volume of work as well as engineering change orders/requests.

Primary Function:
Provide technical and administrative support to Engineering department, ensure that confidential and time sensitive information is processed accurately and within the established timelines and/or project requirements.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains the Engineering Department network files including controlled documents such as part drawings and specifications. Assists in the creation and maintenance of engineering projects, tooling MRO, and enters project costs in PMM (project manager module) in ERP system. Receives revised prints, compares and uploads to ERP system.
As assigned, reviews documentation, process, and print change requests for impact on the Organization. Completes Engineering Change Order (ECO) forms for these changes. Ensures all ISO 9001,13485, and FDA requirements have been reviewed by those responsible before implementation. Ensures the latest revisions are on file.
Reviews submitted ECOs for completeness. Creates and manages the change control workflow in the ECO module of the ERP system.
Prepares reports and assists with administrative tasks such as work instruction updates, data entry, and procedural enhancements. Additional Responsibilities:
Maintains and manages the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) workflows within ERP system.
Works on special projects for the department.
Provides suggestions for internal procedures improvements.
Manages the purchase order process for the department.
Tracks KPIs and metrics for change management in APQP
Requirements
Required Skill/Knowledge:
Previous experience in and engineering department or manufacturing support role. Ability to read and interpret part drawings, organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally. MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency, ERP systems experience and ability to follow outlined procedures. Experience working with a high volume of technical data and taking requests from multiple sources. Excellent time management skills and proactive in regard to solving problems. Able to apply critical thinking to projects and manage frequent change. Ability to work with all levels within the company and within cross-functional groups.
Preferred Skills/ Knowledge:
Plastics manufacturing background, ability to create written procedures, IQMS, previous project management, working with or supporting development projects and change management. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 13485, FDA requirements. SolidWorks and Visio.
Education Level / Required Certification:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Additional Information:
Must have valid driver's license and own transportation for travel between plants as necessary. May walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time. May be exposed to the plant floor and odor of plastics and be required to wear applicable PPE. May cover for the Sr. Operations Specialist as needed. Other duties as assigned.
