In this position, you will work directly with 2-5 others on one machine to efficiently package the finished materials as they come out of the machine. These machines are Roll Forming machines, producing metal shingles, siding, and gutters. Each machine will be operated by one Machine Operator II. Depending on the machine and product, you can expect to work with 2-5 other Packagers (Machine Operator I). Each product is visually quality checked to ensure no manufacturing defects are present.
Responsibilities
Work comfortably with others in a fast-paced environment, ensuring everyone pays close attention.
Make boxes, package, palletize, and move products.
Operate power tools such as drills, staple guns, and other pneumatic tools.
Learn to operate several machines and work with different groups daily.Essential Skills
Packaging and production experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
Ability to work well with others.
Machine operation experience.
Quality check experience.
General labor skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
6+ months in a manufacturing/production environment.
Mechanically inclined.
Hand and power tool experience.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
Ability to read and understand tape measures and calculators.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing environment that can get warm and loud. You must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and working around moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training provided). The noise level is usually loud, and the environment is not temperature controlled with open doors in the summer. Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
