Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field in hand by the commencement of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of research experience with a strong emphasis on hands-on experiments.
Expertise in any of the following areas would be considered advantageous:
● Power module packaging and integration.
● High-density power converter design/prototyping, topology/loss analysis (including magnetic losses), thermal/EMI analysis.
● EMI emission and filter design/modeling/integration, and active filtering.
● Converter control/modeling, including and not limited to high-speed motor drive and grid-tied converters.
● High voltage engineering and converter degradation/failure analysis.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will support the Principal Investigator, Dr. Fang Luo, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The incumbent will conduct research within the predetermined research scope and methodology, focusing on the field of power electronics.
● Lead/support projects for high-density power converter and module development.
● Assist in proposal development, group outreach, and student mentoring.
● Contribute to the development of new training courses.
● Other duties as assigned.
