Global Research Analyst

We are seeking a Global Research Analyst to join our team and play a vital role in advancing the global mission.

Location: Richmond, VA

The Global Research Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the Global Research data ecosystem. This roles supports leadership and partners by maintaining research databases, developing practical and innovative data visualizations, coding to support visualization efforts, and assisting throughout the entire data visualization lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Maintain Global Research data within data lakes, data marts, and databases (primarily using Fabric and other Azure tools)

Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial visualizations that effectively communicate key research insights.

Develop interactive visualizations that engage internal and external audiences

Support data storytelling by crafting compelling research information displays

Write DAX, SQL, Python, M, Vega, R, and other scripts/code to assist with data cleanup and visualization production

Collaborate in the development of decision-making dashboards and visualizations for field leadership at local and global levels

Provide just-in-time data delivery to support analysis and informed leadership decisions

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, preferred

Strong experience with Azure tools, including Fabric, and working with data lake architectures

Proficiency in Power BI, ESRI ArcGIS, Tableau, preferred

Solid programming skills in DAX, SQL, Python, M, R, Vega, and/or other related languages

Expertise in spatial and non-spatial data visualization techniques

Ability to tell meaningful stories through data visualizations

Strong collaboration and project management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
