Job Title: CDL Fleet Driver

Department: Logistics

Reports to: Fleet Supervisor

Job Description:

Unload, load, and secure products to and from truck, trailer and designated storage areas. Run routes efficiently within the allotted time while handling customer or invoice issues with care. Drive a variety of vehicles depending on the needs of the company. Comply with organizational, state, and local driving rules and regulations. Verify accuracy of material on invoices or purchase orders at time of loading or delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Hold and maintain CDL

Use ELD and understand hours of operations for CDL drivers.

Ensure safety of self, fellow employees and customers

Take responsibility for security of materials being transported

Maintain cleanliness of trucks and trailers

Report to fleet manager information to optimize method of delivery and routes

Retrieve and load customers material

Maintain appropriate paperwork for transit and delivery of material

Offload receivables, notify managers of materials arrival

Ensure material on invoices matches material loaded onto delivery vehicle

Obtain customer signatures on Nova’s invoice copy on delivery, return copy to the appropriate warehouse manager

Assess and report damage or loss of transported materials

Alert managers of priority customers, problems, or opportunities

Ensure customers are happy with their experience in your department
