We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associates to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of our warehouse. This role includes order fulfillment, inventory management, receiving and processing shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized and clean warehouse spaces.
Loading and Unloading Trucks: Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring that goods are handled safely and without damage.
General Warehouse Duties: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive movements.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required. Forklift experience is a plus!
Physical Demands:
Lifting and Carrying: Employees may be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Proper lifting techniques and the use of mechanical aids are essential to prevent injuries.
Standing and Walking: The role involves prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the warehouse. Employees should be comfortable and physically able to remain on their feet for extended periods.
Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling: Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling are required for tasks such as picking items from lower shelves and organizing inventory.
Pushing and Pulling: Employees will need to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport goods within the warehouse.
Climbing: Using ladders or step stools to access items stored at higher levels is a common task. Employees must be able to climb safely and confidently.
Repetitive Movements: Tasks such as packing, sorting, and labeling involve repetitive hand and arm movements. Attention to ergonomics is important to minimize strain.
Operating Equipment: Employees may be required to operate forklifts. Proper training and adherence to safety protocols are mandatory.
Work Environment:
The warehouse environment may be subject to varying temperatures, from cool to warm, depending on the season and specific areas within the facility.
Noise levels can vary, and employees may need to wear hearing protection in certain areas.
Proper footwear and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required at all times to ensure safety.
