Mixing Center Operations Manager Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a 300,000 sq. ft. mixing center focused on handling imported containers and truckload distribution. The role requires a results-oriented leader to ensure operational efficiency, maintain safety standards, and optimize resources while managing a diverse workforce. This position reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations.

Mixing Center Operations Manager Duties
1. Operations Management
Oversee daily operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of goods.
Manage container unloading and outbound truckload shipping to meet delivery schedules and KPIs.
Develop and enforce SOPs for efficient workflows and operational compliance.
2. Leadership and Team Management
Supervise, train, and develop a team of supervisors, leads, and warehouse associates.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance individual and team performance.
3. Safety and Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
Investigate and address safety incidents promptly.
4. Financial Oversight
Monitor and control operational budgets, including labor, equipment, and facility maintenance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality or safety.
Prepare and present operational reports and performance metrics to senior management.
5. Technology and Data Management
Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System).
Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, track KPIs, and recommend improvements.
Seek opportunities for new technologies that enhance productivity and accuracy.
6. Customer Service
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet customer demands.
Resolve operational issues impacting service levels and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Mixing Center Operations Manager Qualifications
High School Diploma; bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience managing large-scale warehouse or distribution center operations.
Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and import/export operations.
Proficiency in WMS, MS Office Suite, and warehouse equipment.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Occasionally able to travel to other company locations.
