Compensation Type: $55,000 - $65,000 experience and education dependent
Job Summary:
The responsibility of the Digital Media Content Specialist role is to bring our brand’s voice to life through engaging digital content. In this role, you’ll execute pre-defined social media strategies, create social media posts, manage content calendars, and analyze engagement metrics to produce visually compelling content that captures attention and builds community. This hybrid position is ideal for a content creator who thrives in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment and understands the importance of both content creation and digital engagement. Proficiency in graphic design software, strong writing skills, and experience with social media platforms are essential. We value creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
A Day in the Life:
Execute pre-defined social media strategies by creating content aligned with brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity.
Produce and deliver 3–5 engaging, on-brand content pieces per week that align with the content calendar and campaign direction, including reels and carousels.
Shoot and edit high-quality short-form video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Incorporate trending audio, transitions, and visual effects to increase reach and platform performance.
Post content across designated social media channels and actively engage with the community through likes, comments, DMs, and timely responses.
Ensure brand consistency across all content formats, messaging, and publishing timelines.
Capture supporting content as necessary (e.g., lifestyle footage, behind-the-scenes clips, UGC-style material).
Write and publish compelling blog posts, articles, and website content reinforcing brand voice and messaging.
Optimize content (visual and written) for SEO to boost visibility and improve search engine rankings.
Stay current on platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging tools to keep content optimized and relevant.
Job Requirements:
2+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media production.
Proficient in video editing tools and apps (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, Final Cut Pro, InShot).
Strong writing and copyediting skills, with a solid understanding of brand voice.
Knowledge of SEO principles for both written and multimedia content.
Strong aesthetic and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Later, Planoly, Buffer) is a plus.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with lifestyle, beauty, or education brands.
On-camera presence or ability to direct and guide others in front of the camera.
A portfolio or examples of short-form content across platforms.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting pay is up to $55K (paid hourly) based on experience, salary history and education level.

Ability to Work Remotely: The employee selected for this position will work their work schedule remotely.
Work Schedules: Ogle School supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. For this role, there is a minimum 40-work week schedule, 5 days a week. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
