HR Business Partner (HRBP) Associate

Position Summary

Functions as a generalist, providing operational and administrative assistance in the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals. This role involves contributing to HR programs and projects, assisting with employee relations (handling initial inquiries), supporting performance and talent management processes (including recruitment, onboarding, and training coordination), and aiding in compensation and benefits administration. Assists with data analysis and reporting on HR metrics, ensures policy adherence within assigned business units, maintains HR records and systems, and participates in relevant meetings. This position is focused on gaining experience and developing key HRBP skills, including understanding business operations, HR best practices, employment laws, communication, problem-solving, relationship building, and project management, in partnership with the broader HR team contributing to efficient operations and positive employee experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide support to HR programs that are being developed and implemented

Maintain knowledge of legal requirements & government reporting regulations affecting HR functions

Ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance

Involve in the recruitment process: interview, test and select employees to fill vacant positions

Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals

Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs, benefits and compensation.

Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

Understand the business implications of decisions.

Take a proactive approach to continue learning about Itron’s business.

Skills and Experience Required

First professional experience in HR related field

Excellent communication skills in both English and Indonesian

Understanding of basic HR principles, practices, and terminology

Familiarity with the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, development, offboarding).

Awareness of key HR functions (employee relations, performance management, and compensation basics)

Basic knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations

Problem-solving mindset

Curious, self-starter with strong initiative, adaptability

Education

University background in Management / Psychology / Law
