Job Description
Purpose:
Kinetics Noise Control, Inc. is seeking a motivated part-time, entry-level Software Developer currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. This position will primarily focus on leveraging Python and AI-based tools to maintain, debug, and enhance existing in-house software applications, as well as assist in the development of new engineering analysis tools. The developer will also have exposure to HTML and Java.
Primary Responsibilities:
Use Python and AI-driven tools to maintain, debug, and improve existing software applications.
Implement new features and enhancements based on user feedback and requirements.
Collaborate with end-users to identify issues and improve overall software usability and functionality.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Assist the engineering team in developing new analytical tools and applications for mechanical and structural engineering processes.
Support the translation of engineering algorithms into practical software solutions.
Tertiary Responsibilities:
Participate actively in evaluating and integrating emerging AI technologies within the engineering software ecosystem.
Research and recommend new software tools and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Additional background in Mechanical Engineering or Physics is preferred.
Experience or coursework in Python programming is required.
Exposure to HTML and Java through coursework or personal projects.
Interest in artificial intelligence and willingness to learn and apply AI-based software tools.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
Ability to independently manage tasks while working effectively in a collaborative environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute innovative solutions

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to work part-time on-site at our Dublin, OH headquarters
