Job Description
ComResource is looking for a Data Engineer.
We need someone to assist in updating and building ETL data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating closely with upstream teams and stakeholders to support Financial Crimes IT initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data management systems.
Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
Ensure all systems meet business and industry requirements and best practices.
Update and build ETL data pipelines using Datastage and DBT for ingestion into Financial Crimes applications.
Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and upstream teams to understand changes to data sources.
Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure data quality.
Integrate emerging data management and engineering technologies into existing structures.
Develop processes for data mining, modeling, and production.
Research and propose new uses for existing data.
Employ various programming languages and tools to connect systems effectively.
Work independently and collaboratively with IT, data architects, and data scientists.
Install and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
Recommend enhancements to continuously improve data reliability and quality.
Essentials:
Technical degree or equivalent related work experience.
Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
Strong experience in ETL development, specifically with Datastage.
Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.).
Experience programming or architecting back-end languages (e.g., Java, J2EE).
Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with stakeholders and technical teams.
Desired:
Experience with DBT for data pipeline development.
Financial Crimes IT domain experience.
Experience working with Snowflake.
