You will perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and cosmetic repairs and maintenance on electric and internal combustion lift trucks, as well as various material handling equipment and related machinery, primarily within a supervised shop environment.

Responsibilities · Equipment Installation & Setup o Perform quality new equipment installations and modifications, adhering to company policies and procedures in a timely manner.
o Install and set up new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
o Ensure all components and systems are properly assembled, calibrated, and tested for optimal performance and safety.
o Conduct thorough inspections of new equipment to verify that all components are in good working condition and free from defects.
o Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
o Technical Troubleshooting & Problem Solving o Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to new equipment installation, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
o Identify and resolve problems efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
o Observe, analyze, and determine corrective actions for service and repair of customer equipment.
· Documentation & Reporting o Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, including serial numbers, installation dates, and any relevant notes or observations.
o Prepare reports and documentation for customers and internal use, detailing installation procedures and any issues encountered.
o Prepare necessary documentation relating to each repair in a neat and accurate manner.
· Customer Service & Professionalism o Exhibit a professional demeanor and promote goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
o Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing issues quickly and efficiently during installation and service.
· Continuous Learning & Team Collaboration o Stay updated on new forklift models, technologies, and installation techniques through training and self-study.
o Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance team capabilities and overall performance.
· Perform any other duties as assigned or required to support the company's overall operations and objectives.
Requirements All potential hires are subject to pre-employment checks which include but are not limited to background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle record checks.
· High school education, plus one to three years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment, or the equivalent in college or vocational education.
· Demonstrate a good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
· Ability to effectively utilize volt, ohm, and multi-meters.
· Ability to safely operate drills, grinders, presses, forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and personal hand tools.
· Ability to read and interpret schematics.
· Ability to read and understand necessary service and training manuals.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and co-workers.
· Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
· Ability to maintain a good understanding of industry innovations and product availability to make recommendations based on customer need.
· Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
· Knowledge and ability to navigate the internet, intranet, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
· Ability to draw upon available support resources from within the company and recognize when it is appropriate to do so.
· Such other knowledge, skills, and abilities as necessary for additionally assigned duties.
