About the position: We’re looking for a Security Guard to help monitor the facility and protect our valued staff and visitors.

Our Security Guards monitor and protect the property against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.

As a Security Guard with The Raymond Corporation you will: * Patrol buildings and grounds.

* Examine doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure.

* Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.

* Alert authorities when necessary.

* Maintain Security Log, record data, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, malfunctioning machinery or equipment.

* Monitor Security Cameras and door access systems.

* Assist to manage outside contractor's entering facility.

* Perform required safety inspections of fire suppression and other emergency equipment.

* Secure and turn on Facility lighting circuits.

* Monitor HVAC equipment.

* Perform various general duties which may include delivery service, record retention, and general utility work.

About the schedule: This position is 1st shift and will work approximately 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday; must have some flexibility in schedule based on business needs and facility coverage requirements.

This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

About you: * A high school diploma or GED is preferred * Two or more years of experience as a security guard is required * Must have a valid NY State Driver’s License * All persons engaged in security guard activities must be registered with the New York Department of State (DOS) and complete all required training It would be great if you had: * Previous law enforcement experience * Ability to be liaison between agencies * Criminal Justice education * Military training * Emergency Services experience About the total compensation package: Wage - $19.00 - $23.50 per hour.

Houry wage is based upon selected candidates experience.
