Maintenance Technician
Schreiner Group is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairing, maintaining, and cleaning of our building systems, manufacturing equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner so our customer’s specifications and delivery schedules can be met. This position is responsible for the overall completion of the job assigned to the Maintenance Technician 1st Shift from 5am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
Repairing, maintaining, and cleaning of our building systems, manufacturing equipment and tools
Monitor and advise on safety concerns for improvement
Perform routine inspections and testing of equipment and machinery to ensure they are functioning properly and ensuring they are left in a sanitary and safe condition.
Assist in the installation and breakdown of new machines, equipment, and tools.
Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Supports the Operations and Engineering teams on tasks and/or projects as needed
Experience:
High school diploma or higher educational degree or trade certificates in Engineering or equivalent work experience
2-4 years’ experience with reading blueprints, performing mechanical and electrical maintenance.
2-4 years’ experience breaking down machines and equipment.
2-4 years’ experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment testing
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
Work activity requires repetitive bending, reaching, walking, stooping, and crouching, lifting, and climbing. Job duties also require regular use of fingers and hands when working.
