PRN Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About Us: At Harmony House Cares, we provide compassionate, in-home support to seniors and adults with developmental disabilities. Our team of Harmony Helpers is dedicated to helping our clients live with dignity, independence, and joy — right in the comfort of their own homes.

We’re currently seeking PRN Caregivers to join our growing team and help fill open shifts on an as-needed basis. Whether you’re looking to supplement your income, build experience, or work with more flexibility, this role is for you!

Job Description:

As a PRN Caregiver, you'll step in to support clients when our regular staff are unavailable. You’ll provide essential care and companionship, ensuring clients feel safe, supported, and valued.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting

Meal preparation and feeding assistance

Light housekeeping and laundry

Medication reminders

Companionship and emotional support

Observing and reporting any changes in client condition

Maintaining accurate care documentation

Schedule:

This is a PRN / On-Call position

Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Great for those who want to pick up occasional shifts

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a caregiver, DSP, STNA, or CNA preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Negative TB test (within 12 months)

Clean background check

Compassionate, reliable, and professional attitude

Pay:

$14 – $18 per hour, based on experience and shift type
