HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Business Manager II are the following:

Create, maintain, and update financial accounting records such as payroll, budget expenditures, travel and student fees.

Manage activities related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, financial reporting, general ledger activities, compliance, and reconciliations.

Provide oversight to ensure the department's financial compliance with university and Board of Regents policies and procedures.

Monitor departmental expenditures, reimbursements, and funding sources allocated to the departments, as well as participating in preparing allocated annual budget projections for assigned departments.

Develop, implement, and/or assist with finance-related policies and procedures, providing budgetary guidance for special events, such as conferences, award ceremonies, and testing sites.

Participate in developing and updating standard operating procedures for payroll, summer pay, travel reimbursements, and purchasing.

Serve as a liaison to accounting and administrative units within the college and university to support department strategy and decision-making.

Supervise financial administrative staff.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and four years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

Experience with OneUSG, Spectrum, budgets, and Excel is preferred.

Must have the ability to resolve issues without assistance, think critically, and collaborate with others.
