We are looking for a talented Regional Medical Adviser who can lead the scientific medical communication, development, and implementation of impactful projects with Health Care Providers (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field of Cardiometabolic disease areas and other stakeholders to ensure a good understanding of Novo Nordisk (NN) therapeutic concepts, products, and data, with a focus on leading to optimal access and usage of the products for the benefit of patients.

The role is based in Varna; alternative location could be Burgas. This role reports directly to the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) Director.

The position

As a Regional Medical Adviser, you will be responsible to contribute actively to building and maintaining scientific understanding of Novo Nordisk products in Cardiometabolic disease areas and to the development of portfolio products. In addition, you will be responsible to leverage scientific and clinical expertise to create relationships with KOLs, HCPs and other healthcare decisions makers. Moreover, you will help to coordinate educational programmes and workshops to support the internal staff in understanding the scientific data for training purposes as needed.

Your main accountabilities will be:

• Field based scientific support for marketed products, development projects in connection with conducted clinical trials in Bulgaria or based on unsolicited request

• Preparation and coordination of educational programs for internal and external customers in assigned territory and the whole country

• Advocacy development in order to identify, contact, develop and maintain relations with health care to establish and improve the knowledge of NN products in cardiometabolic area and their appropriate use.

• Identify academic centers and investigators to initiate and participate in clinical trials and identify key areas of future research in assigned teritory.

Qualifications

As a Regional Medical Adviser you need to have a Medical Degree (MD) or a postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or a life science is desired. In addition, you need to have ideally, over 2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the medical affairs department, will be an added advantage.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company or clinical practice is an advantage

• Experience in the field of cardiometabolic medicine (diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular) is an advantage

• Understanding of local pharmaceutical market (advantage)

• Relationship with key external customers (advantage)

• Very good presentation and communication skills

• Good in establishing, developing and maintenance of relationships

• Very good command of English and Bulgarian languages

The role is based in Bulgaria, and reports to the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) Director.
