About the role

As the Platform Digital Transformation Lead, you will be an integral part of the talented team within the Customs core services platform. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the digital transformation of Customs products for a merger and acquisition in North America. This involves the discovery and exploration of the current landscape, transitioning to the strategic landscape, and ultimately launching in the market. The role demands a robust background in business architecture, technical expertise, exceptional product and project management skills, and strong stakeholder management abilities. Ideally, you will also have experience in customs services. You will lead one of the digital transformation projects through its entire lifecycle, integrating it into the Maersk landscape together with our process expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Project and product management:

Lead the due diligence and discovery for the merger and acquisitions of customs platforms, transitioning them to the strategic landscape.

Develop a strategic approach to create business architecture, identify product opportunities, and formulate transition plans in alignment with BPO and FPO functions. This will drive clarity, create shared objectives, and align on key priorities, factors, and drivers.

Own and manage a comprehensive multi-year transition roadmap, influencing the strategic direction and drive change management across business, process, and technology.

Collaborate closely with PPO, BPO, GPLs, FPO, and SMEs to secure the roadmap and deliver the required functionalities to relevant customs products, platforms, and processes.

Prepare clear digital transformation documents, with KPIs to track the performance and measure the success of transition and contribute to OP planning, ECR, and MPR documents.

Communicate regularly and consistently with stakeholders, highlighting successes and outcomes on a regular basis.

Applying working backward from the customer journey to identify product features and lead the technical aspects of product development, ensuring excellence from ideation to market release.

Utilize a data-driven approach to identify opportunities for product growth.

Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and advocate for user-centered design in product delivery.

Strategic Contribution:

Participate in wider decision-making processes, contributing to the development of practices, processes, and procedures.

Work independently within a broad framework, solving complex challenges and considering the broader impact of decisions on the organization.

Collaborate with other functions to ensure seamless integration and implementation of solutions across the company.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and leading cross-functional teams across both technical and functional areas, as well as other stakeholders.

Strong understanding of business processes in particular in Customs, and procedures and compliancy needs.

Extensive experience in product development, with a robust technical background in building and launching products.

Excellent data analytical skills and experience in data-driven product development.

Profound understanding of business operations, industry trends, and cross-functional interdependencies, particularly within a technology-driven environment like Maersk.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive effective solutions.

Technical background with experience in managing systems integration and data migration.

Experience in change management in large organisation and matrix setup.
