JOB SUMMARY

The Preschool Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher to accomplish the successful operation of his/her classroom to insure quality early childhood instruction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with the teacher and children to provide excellence in service, instruction and communication

Adheres to preschool policies and procedures

Attends all training, staff meetings and other Preschool functions

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be highly motivated

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent leadership skills

Good organizational skills

An understanding of preschool curriculum and childhood development

Must have a strong desire to work with children

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Preschool experience preferred

Must have experience working with parents

Early Childhood degree preferred

Must have current certificates in CPR, First Aid and AED (with in 60 days of employment)

Must be fingerprinted and pass CBI and FBI background checks within 60 days of employment.
