The job. What you will be doing as a Account Coordinator I, Freight Brokerage:

Responsible for building relationships with existing carriers and prospecting new carriers to aid in the transportation of customer’s shipments.

Travel requirements: Never

A day in the life (but not limited to):

Coordination of pickup and delivery appointments with shipping and receiving departments and relaying information to dispatchers/drivers

Carrier negotiations

Track, trace shipments throughout the various stages of transit

Attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by their Manager

Exercises discretion and independent judgment when deciding what carriers to purse and work with

All other duties as assigned by supervisor, but remember, we work as a team to get the job done
