Job Description
The Cycle Counter conducts cycle counts, location accuracy and assists in reconciliation of all inventory and cycle count variances. Coordinates with Inventory Supervisor, Inventory Analysts and Operations personnel to systemically record cycle counts ensuring inventory accuracy. Effectively performs work while meeting quality, on-time delivery, and safety objectives. Ensuring inventory accuracy to prevent disruptions with production and shipping.
Position Responsibilities may include:
Conduct cycle counts using RF scanner and monitor inventory accuracy
Maintain minimum inventory levels and monitor for accuracy regularly with cycle counts
Work as a team with Warehouse Operations to locate and cycle count product
Move product as required to facilitate cycle counts
Move product to consolidate SKUs into fewer locations as directed
Check and update inventory databases with current data
Use Simple Problem Solving to determine root cause of inventory discrepancy within a location and
Work closely with the Inventory Supervisor, Inventory Analysts and Operations personnel
Operate Reach truck, Forklift and/or Order picker to move product as needed to perform inventory counts
Follow safety policies and procedures
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Possesses a broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education
Has no discretion to deviate from established procedures by performing structured work assignments
Work is closely supervised
Problems faced are not typically difficult nor complex
Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and policies
Working knowledge with ERP systems and understanding of the effects of transactions to on-hand inventory
General understanding of Manufacturing, i.e., when and how PN’s change as work is performed
Basic math skills
Ability to safely operate forklifts, reach trucks and additional material handling equipment
Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting
Attention to detail and demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow all safety requirements and practice safe work habits and maintain good housekeeping
Ability to establish positive work relationships, apply good judgement, strong work ethics & integrity on the job
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Working knowledge of computer applications – MS Office –Outlook, Word, Excel (spreadsheets)
Competency:
Experience:
1+ year experience in cycle counting and operation of material handling equipment
2+ years of experience operating a forklift and/or reach truck (must be certified by internal trainer)
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Successful completion of in-house forklift & reach truck training - certification
People Management: No
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
Must be able to walk 5 to 10 miles a day. Standing, walking, bending, stooping, etc. to move, view and transfer product. Lift, carry move up to 40lbs
