Salary: $16-18.80 per hour
Position Overview:
The Terminal Operator is responsible for accurately processing and shipping UPS, DHL, and FedEx packages using systems such as UPS WorldShip, WorldEase, Trade Direct, DHL, and FedEx Ship Manager. This position is a key member of our shipping department and plays a critical role in ensuring that all customer orders are correctly prepared and dispatched. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires strong attention to detail, managing the final step in our order fulfillment process to ensure that our customers receive their products accurately and on time.
Essential Job Functions:
Communicate with the credit manager for credit card orders via AIM or phone.
Print and apply address labels using UPS WorldShip, WorldEase, Trade Direct, DHL, and FedEx Ship Manager Systems.
Scale, scan, and measure boxes for shipment to ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
Collaborate daily with the Shipping Lead regarding shipping timelines and deadlines.
Prepare manual invoices for consolidated orders through various shipping systems.
Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and report shortages to management.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Assist in training new team members on shipping processes and systems as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the shipping department.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Intermediate ERP skills
Basic math skills
Basic computer software skills
Acute attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed written instructions
Knowledge of proper state abbreviations and country codes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks
