Job Description
The ADC Supervisor role is responsible for assisting the store management team in retail operations. This person assists in supervising employees, implementing training programs, and demonstrating our Company values and DGR guiding principles. Their functions contribute to our mission by mentoring employees, continued training, and coaching for our retail locations to be fiscally viable while holding to our standards of behavior and stewardship.
• Have exceptional and clear communication:
o Relays information between store personnel and management.
o Keeps specified information confidential.
o Demonstrates exemplary customer service.
o Communicates with all staff throughout the workday.
o Offers guidance and clear instruction to retail associates.
• Employee accountability and productivity:
o Operates effectively using procedural guidelines.
o Assists in evaluating employee’s performance.
o Ensures each store meets production goals.
o Ensures employees time is accurate and timely.
• Safety and Loss Prevention:
o Reports and prevents any safety concerns or health violations.
o Pays attention to sales floor and backroom for loss prevention and documents as needed.
o Counts and balances register cash drawers to prepare bank deposits.
o Follows all speculations under Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls and the Hazardous Communication Policy and Procedures.
• Implement G.R.A.T.I.S into your work environment:
o Greet: Within 10 seconds of any interaction, welcome the donor.
o Receipt: Give donor coupon for their donation(s)
o Assist: Help the donor unload materials donated and place them into blue bins.
o Thank: Give gratitude to donor for the donation.
o Invite back: Let the donor know they are welcome back for further donation.
o Sort: Once the donation is collected, you must sort the product
• Sort donations and handle materials:
o Separate donations by soft lines (clothing material and soft materials), and hard lines (textiles and hard materials).
o Help drivers with loading donations and handling such in a safe and efficient way.
o Keep work area organized and return carts and baskets where they belong.
o Prepare any donated furniture for sales floor.
• Keep work environment clean & safe:
o Utilizing safety measures when using blue bins.
o Knowing the information within the Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls, the Safety Data Sheets, and complying with all health regulations.
o Sanitizing and labeling materials
o Reporting any potential unsafe working conditions or violations detected in the workplace.
