The purpose of this role is to create a contingency plan in our operations business unit. Appointing external candidates that will be on a dedicated training plan, with the end goal of being a roaming resource available to stand in temporarily where needed. Refer to the job profile for the site manager and Site Supervisor and the training plans for clear responsibilities and milestones to qualify as a stand in resource. This individual would be required to relief staff in unforeseen events where the Site Manager is not present due to leave, training and other events.
Summary of responsibilities upon successful completion of the programme:
Lead and manage a team to produce a food-safe site, daily.
Manage and achieve the Budgeted Man-hours and Purchases in their Section.
Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment with compliance to all statutory safety regulations.
Manage individual and team performance; coach and develop staff.
Responsible for all Operational activities in their section, including operational problem solving.
Maintain Customer relationship; meet Customer expectations and eliminate plant damage & downtime.
