Job Title: Hardware Operator
Job Description
The role involves verifying that specified hardware is installed in the correct location by using a print. The operator will position and align bolts, dies, and fixtures in the machine, prepare a pick list for required hardware, adjust machine settings, and deliver the first piece for inspection to verify dimensions and hardware location.
Responsibilities
Align holes of workpieces with the anvil of the machine.
Position pems or hardware with holes in workpieces over an anvil or against fixtures.
Depress pedal to lower ram that inserts the pem or hardware into the workpieces.
Fill hopper with pems or hardware when operating semiautomatic machines.
Prepare a pick list for required hardware to subtract from inventory.
Turn knobs and set screws to adjust depth and pressure limit of ram stroke.
Deliver the first piece to inspection for verification of dimensions and hardware location.Essential Skills
1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Stable work history
Ability to read blueprints
Capability to distinguish colors
Experience with hardware, sheet metal, and blueprint readingAdditional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience setting up and operating Haeger machines preferred
Excellent people skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
Ability to bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces into the machine
Capability to lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day

Work Environment
The Hardware Department is located next to the Press Brakes and Turrets, along with the Quality Department. Candidates must be adept at using blueprints and willing to assist in other areas. Work during the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 2:00am, and adhere to safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
