Aerotek is hiring for multiple CNC Machinists!

Job Overview

Operate and calibrate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers to manufacture precise parts. Engage with robotic systems for material handling, automated loading/unloading, and part transfer. Implement tool changes and offsets to ensure high-quality parts. Identify and solve issues related to CNC machines, robotics, and automation systems. Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances. Manage and maintain automated production cells, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal downtime. Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines and robotic systems. Comply with safety protocols and quality standards, including AS9100 requirements. Document machine settings, process improvements, and production logs.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and calibrate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.

Engage with robotic systems for material handling and automated loading/unloading.

Implement tool changes and offsets to ensure part quality.

Identify and solve issues related to CNC machines, robotics, and automation systems.

Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Manage and maintain automated production cells.

Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines and robotic systems.

Comply with safety protocols and quality standards, including AS9100 requirements.

Document machine settings, process improvements, and production logs.Core Skills

Proficiency in CNC machine operation and troubleshooting.

Experience with robotic arms for machine tending and automation.

Knowledge of G-code, M-code, and machine programming.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.

Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of PLC-controlled automation systems.

Experience working with tight tolerances, especially in aerospace applications.

Work Environment

Work on 1st Shift from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional shifts on Fridays. Alternatively, work on 2nd Shift from 4:30pm to 3:00am, Monday through Thursday, with optional shifts on Fridays and a $1.25/hour shift differential. The facility is clean but can be hot in the summer, with fans provided at all workstations. Join a team of 200 employees in Rockford and 600 employees across the United States.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
