Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
We are now hiring for 3 forklift operators in Portland, ME. In this role, you will be operating sit-down forklifts, picking and packing various orders and materials. This is a refrigerated environment, and you must be comfortable working in the cold. Other duties will include inventory counts, inspection, and general labor as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials and orders.
Pick and pack various orders and materials.
Perform inventory counts and inspections.
Assist with general labor tasks as needed.Essential Skills
Previous forklift experience (6+ months).
Comfortable working in a refrigerated/freezer environment.
Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
Proficient in using computers and basic inventory systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work efficiently in a cold storage environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a cold storage environment, with temperatures of 32 degrees in the main area and -10 degrees in the freezer. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for temperature control, and the forklift in the freezer has a heated cabin maintaining a temperature of approximately 50 degrees. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7am onwards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Maine.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
