GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER (SALES ENGINEER)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing and interpreting civil, structural and geotechnical construction documents.
Preparing estimates and proposals for ground support solutions based on your interpretation of these documents.
Pre-bid geotechnical and structural design calculations in support of sales efforts using our in-house or commercial computer-aided design software packages.
Communicating with Clients, Engineers and Architects in order to move the sales process forward to a successful contract.
Negotiating contract terms and closing of sales where you are designated as the sales lead.
Making technical presentations to prospects and supporting the educational training of clientele.
Working with other members of the sales and engineering teams on a regular basis.
Supporting the Marketing and Business Development departments by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
Business development and search for new opportunities and clients.
Establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with our customers.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field plus 5 years of experience in geotechnical construction.
