Job Title: Entry-Level Drafter

Location: Poway, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

As an Entry-Level Drafter, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and design team with your CAD expertise. Your responsibilities will include:

- Studying and understanding the fundamentals of creating neat, legible drawings.

- Learning standard CAD drafting techniques, including creating and modifying 2D geometry, text, and dimensions.

- Preparing detailed engineering drawings using previous layouts, sketches, and standard references.

- Revising and repairing CAD drawings based on instructions, sketches, and change notices provided by others.

- Verifying completed work by checking dimensions, materials, and quantities.

- Observing established operating procedures to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

- A high school diploma or equivalent (additional education in lieu of experience is acceptable).

- 1+ years of experience as an entry-level drafter.

- A strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD modeling techniques.

- Familiarity with industry practices and standards, as well as design tools like KeyCreator (CADKey) or Zuken E3.

- Intermediate knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, and geometry.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant drafting software.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- The ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and collaborate effectively in team settings.
