We are in search of Machine Operators for 2nd shift and Assembly Workers for 1st shift in the Lancaster, Ohio area.
Assembly Information:
1st Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Job Description:
The Assembly Operator will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive
operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies used in the
production of wire and cable harnesses. The Assembly Operator must be comfortable sitting or
standing for 7-8+ hours/day and possess good manual dexterity to manipulate and assemble
small components, electronic pieces, wires, and cables. This position may require the use of
tools such as tweezers, screwdrivers, scissors, hand cutters, semi-automatic cable cutters,
jacket strippers, soldering irons, magnifying lenses, microscopes, calipers, DMM’s, crimping and
terminating machines, ultrasonic welders, etc.
Machine Operators Information:
2nd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm- 2:00am
Pay Rate: $19.00-22.00/hr
Job Description/Key Responsibilities:
Must be able to read a tape measure
Insert the bottom die cuts, pleated-inserts, and/or top die cuts into pallet-pans as they pass by on a moving conveyor
Perform daily- one [ 1 ] of the three [ 3 ] MMP-line assembly positions or the inspector/boxer position
Cross-train on the Inspector/Boxer position- inspect & repair filters as they exit the conveyor-slide; make sure that what the label says is IN the carton is what's IN the carton
Assist other Operators with size-changeovers; help clean the machine sections as the change-overs occur
Remove hood-jams as needed; help clean/scrape the excess glue from inside of the hood
Help prevent hood-jams -clean glue build-up from gluer & assembly-pans as needed throughout the shift
Make minor machine adjustments & repairs to help produce good quality filters; call the MMP Lead or maintenance for other machine issues
Help other Operators monitor and fill the die-cut holders-feeders; help ensure die cuts do not run out
Confirm that the inserts delivered to the MMP are of the correct media and pleat-count
Monitor the cold-glue level to help ensure the automatic-filler is maintaining the proper glue-level
Empty and clean the cold-glue pans at shift's end or as otherwise needed
Help train new MMP Operators/Assemblers as needed
Learn the types of ZL media and their differentiating colors; learn the types of ZL filters [ZL/MR10, MR11, MR13, HV] and the type of media, the width of media, and the pleat counts needed for each
Cross-train on other jobs within the Z-Line department & other jobs in the plant as required
Be flexible to changes in organizational and departmental procedures
Keep work areas clean and organized
Participate in departmental & plant Lean projects
Comply with all safety policies including wearing required PPE
Be aware of LOCK-OUT/TAG-OUT, recognize LOTO-situations, & understand general LOTO
