Job Description

SM-1A Project (Decommissioning of Nuclear Reactor) at Ft. Greely, Alaska (USACE - Baltimore District)

• Identifying common hazards related to general worker safety practices during demolition/remediation activities, including those involving critical lifts and industrial machinery.

• Providing general QA surveillance for demolition/remediation projects. Experience with radiologically contaminated sites is preferred, but we can provide training if needed.

• Determining work methods and approaches for the demolition/remediation of structures in areas impacted by radioactive materials.

• Serving as a consultant on field engineering aspects of the SM-1A Decommissioning Project.

• Mentoring/training other QA representatives.

• Reviewing/approving Daily Quality Assurance Reports (DQARs).

• Liaising between Contracting Officer’s Representatives, Project Manager, and contractors/subcontractors to resolve QA/safety issues.

• Overseeing field work and preparing DQARs (for the Lead QA).

• Reviewing work instructions and technical work documents (TWDs).

• Participating in project meetings and providing input on work execution.Company Description
