Position Qualifications
24 mos. exp. in development & implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled & working as part of inter-disciplinary team to assess individual’s needs & abilities; 12 mos. exp. as lead worker providing work direction & training for other employees; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers; 6 mos. exp. in writing or assisting in development of policies, procedures, goals & objectives of operational unit or program of agency or firm; 1 course in manpower planning or 3 mos. exp. scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage or projecting adequate staff levels; 3 mos. trg. in budgeting or 3 mos. exp. preparing or assisting in preparation of budget for operational unit or program of agency or firm.

We are recruiting for a Mental Health Administrator 3 in the Office of Community Services\: Bureau of Recovery Supports
This position plays a critical role in advancing Ohio’s Peer Support services by developing, implementing, and monitoring peer-led recovery support initiatives statewide. The role supports the Bureau of Recovery Supports in achieving statewide and regional goals, ensuring the quality of peer support training programs, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. The position also provides technical assistance, conducts public engagement, and supports data-driven decision-making and program accountability.
Important Duties:
Developing and Implementing Peer Support Training Standards: Establishes quality metrics and guidelines to ensure consistency and effectiveness in Peer Support training programs across Ohio.
Facilitating and Overseeing Peer Support Training Delivery: Conducts trainings and coordinates quarterly learning opportunities for facilitators to strengthen Ohio’s Peer Support workforce
Monitoring Grantees and Program Compliance: Oversees grant-funded entities to ensure accountability for deliverables, adherence to timelines, and proper use of resources.
Engaging with Stakeholders and Providing Technical Assistance\: Builds relationships with certified peer supporters, providers, and community partners while offering guidance, education, and program support.
Supporting Program Development and Data-Driven Decision Making: Assists in designing tools and systems to gather, analyze, and use data for improving programs, ensuring alignment with state and federal requirements.
Implementation of treatment/habilitation plans: A habilitation plan is a personalized roadmap for individuals, particularly those with disabilities, to help them acquire, maintain, or improve skills necessary for daily living and community participation. It's a dynamic document that evolves as the individual's needs and goals change.
This can include peer supporters developing and implementing WRAP Plans, Recovery plans, Whole Health and Wellness Plans and/or a Crisis Response Plans.
Key aspects of a habilitation plan:
Person-centered: The plan focuses on the individual's strengths, preferences, and aspirations.
Goal-oriented: It outlines specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for the individual to work towards.
Collaborative: It involves the individual, their family (if applicable), service providers, and other support individuals.
This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 12 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8\:00am to 5\:00pm (Flexible Schedule).
