Safety Coordinator – Grand Rapids, Michigan – JOB 25-01209 Salary Range: $65k - 70k Permanent Position with Benefits A Grand Rapids, Michigan area Engineering firm seeks a Construction Safety Coordinator who has experience ensuring that construction workers and staff follow local, state and federal safety regulations, The Construction Safety Coordinator will provide safety training, information, monitor the work environment, identify potential hazards, implement safety protocols, work closely with project managers, contractors, and employees providing safety training, information, keep records of incidents and accidents, investigate accidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

REQUIREMENTS: B.S.

in Occupational Safety and Health or related field of study.

Registration as a Certified Safety Professional or similar form of licensure as a safety officer, OSHA Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) with a minimum of (2) years of hands-on experience in construction safety Candidates must have a complete understanding of OSHA regulations and familiar with all Local, State and Federal Environmental Health & Safety regulations and have excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills to conduct and to participate in high level meetings.

Candidates are responsible for developing and implementing safe work practices and procedures for construction projects, construction workers, tradespeople, sub-contractors, suppliers and other support personnel.

Candidates shall maintain safety records (PTPP's, JHA's, training records, safety meetings, toolbox meetings, OSHA log, MSMDS, incident investigations and metrics.

Candidates shall conduct site safety audits, inspections, identify & report safety violations, issue reports, and interface with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
