Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide guests with menus
Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfers calls
Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and guests’ concerns are addressed
Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
Inform guests of establishment specialties and features
Receive and record guests' dining reservations
Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and cleans restrooms when necessary
Hold the guest as the most important priority at all times
Enthusiastically greet the guest making eye contact and smiling
Ensure takeout orders are entered in the POS system accurately
Collect payment from the guest
Assemble the order checking for accuracy
Deliver the order making eye contact and repeating the order number and prepared food items
Thank the guest and invite to return again
Communicate guests feedback to restaurant management
Educate guests on products offered
Resolve guest concerns with respect and a sense of urgency
Understand in store marketing promotions
Execute new product rollouts including selling to guests and product execution
Utilize cash control procedures
