Technical Salesperson – onsite 6-month temporary position located in Saint Paul, MN

We are looking for a Technical Salesperson to join as a member of our sales team. Our Technical Salesperson will report directly to our Head of Global Sales and will work closely with other members of the sales team while maintaining company vision and culture. The primary responsibility of the Technical Salesperson is to meet and exceed sales goals. This is a crucial role that has a direct impact on the future of Nagios, its employees, and its customers!
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00pm
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota. Nagios is proud to provide services to users worldwide, but at this time we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa.
Wage: $24-36/hr DOQ
Term: Six-Month temporary position with the opportunity to gain full-time employment in our sales team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide and explain technical concepts to the Nagios Sales Team, potential customers, and Nagios Partners.
Utilize our CRM (Salesforce) as the central point of knowledge for our customer information.
Build, maintain and cultivate a consistent pipeline of potential customers.
Conduct sales demos and discovery calls to guide customers through our full line of products.
Attend regular sales and technical training sessions to constantly improve professional skills.
Prepare and deliver package solutions to customers based on their unique requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure world-class experiences for our customers.
Record data to ensure accurate sales reporting and revenue projections.
Expectation of meeting and/or exceeding the monthly and yearly sales goals provided by your manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and experience:
BA/BS in Business or 2 years of relevant and proven track record of B2B sales preferable in software.
2-4 years of experience in a technical sales role or customer facing technical position
Foundational sales knowledge
Salesforce experience
Preferred but not required experience:
Previous Nagios experience.
Experience with performance and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
Proficiency with LAMP stack.
Knowledge of network architecture.
Understanding of common ports and protocols.
